Born on April 12, 1914, in Fredericksburg, Texas, Mr. Feller started working as a rancher, and then for Reading & Bates with over 25 years of service. He enjoyed gardening and proudly served our country in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Deville Chauvin Feller, of New Iberia; son Jerry Feller and wife, Linda, of New Iberia; stepsons Jimmy Chauvin and wife, Tisa, John Chauvin and wife, Ellen, Jerry Chauvin and wife, Joni, all of New Iberia; daughters Dianne Fletcher and husband, Avon, of Harper, Texas, Cindy Kern and husband, Byron, of New Iberia; daughter-in-law April Feller of New Iberia; brothers Herbert Feller of Harper, Texas, Tommy Feller of Kerrville, Texas; sister Alice Behrends of Fredericksburg, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and one due to arrive in January.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Amanda Scheffer Feller; son Robert Feller; granddaughter Melissa Davidson; first wife, Pearl Feller; brothers C.O. Feller, Walter Feller; sister Cora Kramer, Christine Kramer and Anita Tatsch.
Pallbearers will be "Pop's" grandchildren Wayne, Christi, Bobby, Niki, Chris, Pearl, Shawn, Jeremy, Shane, Jennifer, Janie, Jacie and Erick.
