She was born November 1, 1942 in Whitehall, the daughter of the late Clarence and Adeline (Rodd) Newton.
Marion worked for the Troy Shirt Guild in Glens Falls, later moving on to Native Textiles, where she gave 30 years of service.
She was a member of the Young at Heart Senior Center in Poultney.
She loved spending time with her family and making jewelry with her sisters. Marion would often go on lunch dates with her best friend, Veronica Battease, who was like a second mother. She also adored her faithful companion, Harley.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Russell Sr. and sisters, Lillian Newton, Irene Rose and Theresa Rock.
Survivors include her children, Nancy (Daniel) Monroe of South Glens Falls, Michael (Charlotte) Newton of Del City, OK, Valerie (Scott) Hair of Kingsbury, and Robert Russell III of Whitehall; grandchildren, Daniel Jr, Nichole, Katlyn, Kenny, Michael and Kristen; great grandchildren, Kaydence, Caleb, Bradley, Ryleigh, Jordan, Zoey and Bailey; sisters, Shirley Coderre and Agnes Roberts along with several nieces and nephews.
A Private Burial will be held with her family at a later date.
