Born and educated in Delanson, Harold was the son of Willis and Hazel (Townsend) Schworm.
He served in the U.S. Navy for two years from 1944 to 1946 during WWII serving in the Pacific Theater on the USS Rushmore and returned home to graduate from Duanesburg High School.
He went on to work at the General Electric Company as a journeyman plumber and steamfitter for 40 years.
He was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, VFW Post #1895, and the Duanesburg Episcopal Church. He was active in the Lions Club for many years.
He loved to travel with his wife, Milly, during their long retirement; and enjoyed their Florida home during the winter. He loved working around their farm during the summer months.
Harold was predeceased in July 2015 by his one and only love, his wife of 67 years, Mildred (Milly) Wagner Schworm. He missed her more than life itself. He was also predeceased by his granddaughter, Carolina, and his brothers, John and Howard.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey L. Schworm (Brenda J.), his daughters Brenda L. Schworm and Paula S. Marshman; his grandchildren, Benjamin Schworm, Jessica Galasso, Linnea Jansson, Rebecca Cleary, Hannah Marshman and step-grandchild Devon Brown. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by five nephews and a niece.
