John Livingston & Susan Henry, were married Jan 5th, 1837, in Harris Co. GA. They had twelve children - 7 in GA, and 5 after they moved to Lafayette Co. MS. They suffered many hardships during the Civil War, including the loss of one son in battle and another being held as a POW. Many of their children moved West to Texas and California after the War. Susan died in 1875 and is buried in Shiloh Baptist Cem. The burial places of three sons are unknown: Archibald Pinkney b. July 1844 d. btw 1900 -1910 Quitman, Mississippi ; Lewis P. b. 1856 d. btw 1920-1930 Henderson Co TX; and Benjamin b. Apr 1862 d. btw 1900-1910 Rogers, Bell Co TX .
John remarried 31 May 1877 in Lafayette Co. to Fanny Joy. Together they had a daughter, Maude Adeline in 1879, who married Columbus W. Metts. John's will was probated in July 1887 and finally settled in 1992.
