Mary Ruth Duvall
June 19, 1929 - April 16, 2018

Mary Ruth Duvall, age 88, long time Hereford resident, passed away April 16, 2018. Funeral Services are pending at this time.

Mrs. Duvall was born June 19, 1929 at Cloud Chief, Oklahoma, to Howard and Grace Richey. She married Charles Duvall on April 20, 1950 in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death in November 2004.

Mrs. Duvall retired from the education profession in 1984 after 33 years as a teacher and counselor.

After retirement, she and Charles spent a lot of time fishing in Gunnison, Colorado on Blue Mesa Lake, catching and canning salmon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; and two brothers, Bob Richey and H.C. Richey.

She is survived by one son, Charles David Duvall of Horseshoe Bay, Texas; one daughter, Suzanne Duvall of Borger, Texas; three sisters-in-law, Sue Barnett of Amarillo, Dorothy Duvall of Amarillo, and Donna Richey of Georgetown, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to First Methodist Church in Hereford, Texas, First Baptist Church Youth Department in Borger, Texas, and Faith Covenant Church in Borger, Texas.

The family would like to thank Hospice of the Southwest for taking such great care of Mary. They would like to give special thanks to Linda, Cassie, Belinda, Terry, Robyn, Christi, and to her very special friend, Angela Payne.

Mary was much loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
