Mildred was born on September 8, 1945 to Robert Stevens and Viola Stevens (Maurer) in Campo Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents, four of her seven siblings; Orville Stevens, Nelly Welch, Darlene Springwater, and Leroy Stevens, and her spouse; Dallas H. Welch, they were wed on June 24, 1981 in Lyons Kansas.
She is survived by her three siblings; Josephine Mayes, Betty Cook, and Lester Stevens, five children; Carole Anderson and spouse Terry, Juddy Matney, and spouse Paul, Ruth Belknap, Wanda Schweikhard, and Cecil Schweikhard, twelve grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
The visitation will be held at Loran Fawcett Chapel, 704 Indiana St, Neodesha, Kansas, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday April 3, 2018. There will be a celebration of Mildred’s life on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10:00 am at the Neodesha Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Mildred.
