Edward R. “Eddie” Simmons, 59, of Warren, died at 7:52 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center following complications of an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 2, 1959, in Flint, Mich., the son of Ronald Francis and Elaine Hanako Miller Simmons.

He was employed in construction as a general contractor.

Survivors include his sons, Christopher Edward Simmons of Columbus and Marcus Anthony Simmons of Pearland, Texas; daughters, Latoya Lynn Simmons of Atlanta and Arsenya Leilani Simmons of Sharon, Pa.; three sisters, Lani S. Simmons-Bright of Warren, Lei S. Simmons of Minneapolis and Michelle Stoutamire of Warren; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Chapel, where calling hours will be noon to 1 p.m., prior to service Friday.

Burial will be at Pineview Memorial Park Cemetery.
