Grace P. Nester Crawford, 89, formerly of Hershey, peacefully entered into heaven on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at ManorCare Health Services, Camp Hill.
Born in Hershey on March 9, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Julia Rhoads Nester.
Grace retired from H.B. Reese Candy Company. She was a 1947 graduate of Hershey High School. Grace had attended the United Church of Christ Church of the Redeemer, Hershey. She enjoyed walking, shopping, bowling, traveling, fishing and her pets. Beyond all else, Grace loved spending time with her family.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Luther S. Crawford, on January 29, 2008; and two sisters, Jean
Shutt and Beulah E. "Boots" Dieffenderfer.
She is survived by three daughters, Karen L. Cumberledge wife of Gaylord of New Cumberland, LuAnn K. Taschek of Palmyra, and Barbara D,. Crawford of Hershey; one son, Paul A. Crawford husband of Toni L. of Palmyra; four grandsons, Stephen Michael Taschek, Jr. husband of Nicole, Troy D. Siegfried husband of Jane, Austyn P. Crawford, and Prestyn L. Crawford; two great granddaughters, Addison Grace Taschek and Caroline Rose Siegfried; two sisters, Dorothy Root of Hershey and Patricia Nester of Palmyra; and several nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 11 AM in the Trefz & Bowser Funeral Home, Inc., 114 West Main Street, Hummelstown. Interment will be in Hershey Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to the visit with the family at funeral home on Thursday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
Grace's family extends their grateful appreciation to the staff of ManorCare Health Services of Camp Hill for the compassionate care extended to her over the last ten years.
