In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus A. Walker and a son Richard A. Walker.
Grace was a teacher for Baltimore City Schools in Baltimore for 33 years.
She is survived by five daughters, Rosa Lynn Walker, Frances Ann Walker, Brenda Machelle Walker-Edmonds, Alberta Belle Griggs and Cheryl Anita Walker; two sons, Harold E. Walker and Duane A. Walker, 32 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Mount Eagle Baptist Church in Nellysford with Rev. Harold Walker and Rev. Glenwood Morgan officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel of Lovingston (434-263-4097).
