Hallam - Phyllis A. (Hopwood) Peters, 70, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at her residence in Hallam Borough. She was the wife of Charles A. Peters to whom she was married for 25 years.
A Graveside Tribute will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens, 250 Chestnut Hill Rd., York, with Fr. John McCloskey, OFM Cap of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Dallastown officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements.
Born October 9, 1947 in York, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Evelyn (Klunk) Hopwood.
She was employed as cook with the County Club of York and later with the Red Lion Country Club.
A member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, she enjoyed going to yard sales, cooking, flower gardening and loved her five cats.
Mrs. Peters is survived by one brother, Bill Hopwood; sister-in-law, Anne Hopwood; nieces; nephews; and brothers and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by one sister, Rita Roseberry; and two brothers, Greg and Charles Hopwood.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1513 Cedar Cliff Dr., Suite 100, Camp Hill, Pa 17011.
