Colonia - Katherine Ward, age 87, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC.
Born October 26, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY.
She settled in Colonia, NJ and worked at the Bank of Colonia until retiring.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she used her beautiful voice in the choir.
Katherine was also involved in the women's group.
She also loved to dance, play Bingo and watch the NY Yankees play.
Katherine was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Helena Theile of Brooklyn, NY.
Her sister Ida Gore of Bayville, Long Island, NY.
As well as her beloved husband Woodrow.
Survivors include her son Daniel (Patricia) Nietzold, Grandson Charlie of Gastonia, NC, as well as many nieces and nephews, stepsons, step-grand children, and lifelong friends.
Katherine will always be remembered for her beautiful smile, her joy of life, family, and friends.
Funeral services are private for immediate family only. Those wishing to honor her life can donate in her name to Zion Lutheran Church, 215 Elm Ave., Rahway, NJ 07605.
