Karen J Dunn, 77 years, of West Point and formerly of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 6:24 pm Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the West Point Care Center, West Point, Iowa. She was born July 10, 1940 in River Falls, Wisconsin, a daughter of John C and Evelyn P (Johnson) Filkins. On May 10, 1957, she married Patrick M Dunn in Prescott, Wisconsin.
She retired as a supervisor from Fruehauf in Fort Madison. She was of the Catholic faith. She volunteered at the Newberry Center and Eagles in Fort Madison. She enjoyed cooking, watching sports, playing cards, and especially spending time with her family.
 
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Dunn of West Point, three sons: Daniel Dunn of Fort Madison; John (Deborah) Dunn of West Des Moines, Iowa; and Thomas (Skye) Dunn of Norwalk, Iowa; two daughters, Nancy (Ted) Meierotto of West Point and Kristi (Marc) Alexander of Littleton, Colorado; one brother, Thomas (Janice) Fiklins of River Falls; one sister, Janice Seifert of River Falls; twelve grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Per her wishes, her body has been cremated. Her family will greet friends from 9:30 - 10:30 am Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at the Barr-Holtkamp Funeral Home, West Point. A memorial service will follow and begin at 10:30 am Tuesday April 24, 2018 at the funeral home, with Reverend Dennis Hoffman, officiating. Burial will be at Soldiers Circle, Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
