Craig Warren May Sr. formerly of Mulberry, Arkansas passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Craig was born on December 12, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Louis Gerald and Helen Pearl May. Craig was a US Army Veteran and honorably served his Country from September 6, 1955 to September 5, 1957. Craig retired after 33 years working for AT&T and Southwestern Bell. On August 12, 1966, Craig married his sweetheart Sally Louise Easter, in Griswold, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents Louis Gerald and Helen Pearl (Holmes) May and his Aunt Opal Graff. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Sally Louise May, his three children, JoDeen Annette Wolff (John) of Mounds, Oklahoma, Dana Louise Simmons of Springdale, Arkansas, and Craig Warren May, Jr. (Priscilla) of Cedarville, Arkansas, and seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Craig never met a stranger. He developed many long-lasting friendships throughout the years. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening on the farm, driving his tractor, and spending time with his beloved dog, Rusty. A graveside service will be held and located at the Fort Smith National Cemetery on Thursday, April 19, at 2:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis-Roberts Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith, Arkansas. Memorials may be made by simply thanking a Veteran for their service.
