Colleen Vance Jones was born August 19, 1933 in Wichita, Kansas, the daughter of Ike and Opal (Pruitt) Vance. She entered into rest on April 14, 2018 at Granby, Missouri, following an extended illness at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 24 days. Colleen graduated from Granby High School and resided in Granby until 2009 when she moved to Colorado to be with family and returned to Granby in February, 2018. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafting, sewing, quilting, collecting birdhouses and most of all, taking care of her family. She was of the Baptist Faith. Colleen and Forrest Jones were married on December 28, 1950 in Arkansas and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2008. She is survived by six children, Jeanie McEndree and husband, Burl of Denver, CO; Gary Jones and wife, Cindy of Pueblo, CO; Patty Brown and husband, Terry of Amarillo, TX; Paul Jones and wife, Kara of Little Elm, TX; Penny Chaput of Independence, MO and Perry Jones and wife, Katrina of Walsh, CO; two sisters, Linda Davison and husband, Gene of Neosho and Pat Horn of Fayetteville, AR; fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Leonard Vance; a sister, Thelma Jean Gilbreath and a great grandson, Talon.
