William L. Kellems, Jr., age 95, formerly of Irvington, KY, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Signature Healthcare of North Hardin.

William was born August 29, 1922 in Payneville, KY to the late William Louis Kellems, Sr. and Emma Martha Logsdon Kellems.

William was a member of the Hwy. 60 Church of God near Guston, KY; was a former member and Deacon at New Highland Baptist Church. He owned and operated Kellems Grocery in Ekron and West Point, KY for many years. He also operated Kellems Small Engine Repair in Harned, KY for many years. He was also a member of the Custer Masonic Lodge.

His son, Larry Kellems, grandson, James Matthews; sisters, Jeanette Meeks, Blanch Hardesty and Geraldine Romines; brothers, Homer, Robert and Houston Kellems preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Eileen Bennett Kellems of Radcliff, KY, daughter, Margaret A. Matthews of Irvington, son, Craig (Diana) Kellems of Elizabethtown, KY; grandchildren, Jeremy Kellems, Josh Matthews and Sarah Matthews; great grandchildren, Kenzleigh A. Phillips and Zoey Matthews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11 A.M. EDT from the Chapel of Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home with burial to follow in New Highland Cemetery.
