Charles Antetokounmpo (birth name spelled Adetokunbo) was a former Nigerian soccer player who is best known for being the father of the Milwaukee Bucks Basketball Team's Star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo, jersey #34. In 1991 he and his wife Veronica moved from Lagos, Nigeria to Athens, Greece as part of a wave of immigrants seeking better lives. They left their first born son Francis behind with grandparents. Four more sons were born to him and his wife while in Athens,Greece. He moved to Milwaukee in 2013 with his wife and two youngest sons, Alex who was still in High School and Kostas, a freshman at the University of Dayton, in Dayton, Ohio. He passed away at his home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Charles is survived by his wife, Veronica and five sons: Athanasios "Thanasis", Giannis, Kostas, Francis and Alexandros Antetokounmpo.
