The community was saddened Sunday by the news that William N. Parker had passed from earthly cares Saturday evening, at his home northeast of Cedaredge, heart failure being the cause of death. Mr. Parker had not been well during the summer but was able to go about and care for his large flock of chickens and to attend to other outside chores. He was alone with a young son when the end came, the other members of the family being in town. William N. Parker was born at Grand Island. Nebraska, Feb. 23rd. 1882, and died at Cedaredge Oct. 6th, 1923, and is survived by bis widow and four children, all of Cedaredge; two step-sons, three sisters and three brothers, and a host of friends and acquaintances. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Adventist church by Rev. Collar, and the remains tenderly laid to rest in the local cemetery.
