Tommy Moss, 63, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018. He was born in Newport News and had been a life-long Peninsula resident. Tommy was a special boy who was always happy and loving. He loved music and singing Beatles and Herman's Hermits songs with his big sister. He loved swinging on his Momma's swing. Tommy always had a way to make you laugh and make you realize that his life was far better than yours, with no worry in the world, no stress, just wanting to know where everyone was if they weren't in the house, if he needed a coat to go swing, and what's for dinner. He always had a big smile and brought joy to all who knew him. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Orian (Moe) Moss and brother, Ronnie Moss. He is survived by his sister, Carol Preston of Newport News, and nephews, Chris Moss of Portsmouth, Ben Preston of Richmond, and Andy Preston of Newport News. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Jones and Dr. Fenelson from Riverside Regional Medical Center for all their care and would also like to thank Versability Caregivers. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Peninsula Memorial Park by the Rev. Clark DeSarro-Raynal. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Versability Resources, 2520 58th St., Hampton, VA 23661. Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
