He was the beloved husband of Laura S. (Tenney) Rutkowski. The couple had celebrated their 12th Wedding Anniversary on May 21, 2017.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Victoria (Pondo) Rutkowski. A 1976 graduate of Indian Hills High School, Oakland, NJ, he attended Ridgewood School of Art, Ridgewood, NJ, and DeSales University, Allentown, PA.
Mark was employed in product development and design for Cemco Lift, Plumsteadville, PA, for many years. Currently, he worked as a salesman for Fred Beans Ford-Lincoln, Doylestown, PA.
A talented musician, a member of ASCAP, he played guitar and drums and was a recorded songwriter. Mark played in numerous bands over the years and appeared on the Uncle Floyd Show as a musical guest. A licensed Short Wave Radio Operator, he also had a pilots license to fly drones. Mark was a skilled photographer; many of his photographs were seen in the Bucks County Herald in advertisements for his wife's business, Cowgirl Chile Co. Mark also enjoyed model making and designed miniatures for model railroads. Mark loved vacationing at the Jersey Shore and recently fulfilled a dream of his by visiting Paris, France. Mark dearly loved his Cairn Terrier Joey.
Surviving with his wife is his stepdaughter, Sophia Lenore Spector, his brother, Michael P. Rutkowski and Michael's wife Mary, of North Wales, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Rutkowski, in 1957.
His Funeral Services will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at St. Lukes United Church of Christ, 212 Durham Road, Ottsville, PA, where family and friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
