She was born the daughter of Anderson and Pearl Fellows Merry. On March 12, 1938, she was married to Thomas Orville Pemberton Jr. in Moberly, and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2000. Mrs. Pemberton attended Centralia High School and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Centralia. She was a dedicated wife of a farmer and co-worker with her husband in the real estate broker's office. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Howard Merry and Wallace Lee Merry; two sisters, Fern Minor and Iris Lowery; and a son, Ronald Lee Pemberton, on Nov. 30, 1999. Emerald Rose Pemberton, died at Boone Hospital Center at age 87.
