Obituary -

Gregory Scott Ramsey, 47-year-old Pryor resident, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at his home. He was born on October 29, 1970 in Pryor to Russell and Linda (Galyean) Ramsey. Greg was a graduate of Adair High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1989 to 1995. Greg went to Columbia College in Denver, Colorado getting a degree in history; later he went to NSU in Tahlequah and received his teaching degree. He married Jacinda (Yotti) on June 21, 2001 in Miami. Greg worked as a systems operator for GRDA at the Kerr Dam near Locust Grove for the past 17 years. He was a member of the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church west of Adair. Growing up Greg was heavily involved with his family’s show cattle in 4-H and FFA, showing at numerous livestock shows in Oklahoma and surrounding areas. He also loved to watch WWE wrestling, was an avid reader, big time OU football fan and animal lover.
Preceding him in death, were his grandparents, Sid and Inez Galyean, John and Larue Russell.
The family includes: his wife Jacinda of the home; children, Samuel Watson-Ramsey and Sarah Watson-Ramsey of Pryor; his parents, Linda and Russell Ramsey of Adair and numerous other relatives and friends.
The celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church west of Adair, with Pastor Eddie Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Friends may give to the Pryor Public Library, 505 E Graham, Pryor, OK 74361 or the Catholic Charities. Arrangements are by the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral Home of Vinita.
