He was born January 1, 1935, in Ontario, Oregon, graduated Ontario High School in 1953.
He enlisted in the Air Force in 1953, serving as a translator of Russian Military Communications, following by his honorary discharge in 1957.
He attended the College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho, graduating in 1961. He continued his eduction at Drew University, School of Theology in Madison, NJ, then graduating in 1964; becoming a United Methodist Minister.
While at Drew University, he met his future wife Beverly (Cole) Boston. They married on June 27, 1964. They began serving churches of the United Methodist Church: Glens Falls (NY), Shelley (ID), Burlington and Rutland (VT), Center Brunswick, Pauling Avenue in Troy, Broadway Schdy, Esperance, Milford (New York), as well as numerous others.
Robert is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Boston and Son and Daughter-In-Law, Brian and Katrina Boston; grandchildren, Christopher and Tara Gage, Joshua and Matthew Boston; great grandchildren, Kameryn and Jaidyn, Aiden and Liam. Robert is also survived by his brother, James (Phyllis) Boston and sister, Susan (Douglas) Barnes in Oregon and sister-in-law, Barbara (Peter) Notch.
He was also a member of several Fire Departments, serving as Department Chaplain and Fire Police.
Interment will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
