***Allard, Rosalie (Statz) Born April 2, 1917 to the late Joseph and Rosalia Statz of Parkston, South Dakota. Passed away on November 8, 2009 at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by husband, Bernard J. Allard, and brother, Joseph F. Statz. She is survived by daughter, Mary R. Allard and her husband, Dan Adelmann; son, Nicolas and his wife, Linda; 2 grandsons, Brian J. and Daniel B. (wife Rebecca); 1 great- grandson, Carter. She graduated from Parkston High School in South Dakota, received a scholarship to study music at St. Louis Institute of Music. After graduating she went to Toledo, Ohio to form classes for piano teachers to follow the curriculum of the Art Publication Society. When she came to Minneapolis in 1942 she sang with choral and opera groups. She was a member of the Bach Society, Mu Phi Epsilon, Music Teachers forum and Minnesota Music Teachers Association, where she helped organize the Syllabus Program. Later she established her piano studio in Edina, retiring in 1995. Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Thursday at St. Richard's Catholic Community, 7540 Penn Avenue South, Richfield.
