On the morning of April 14, 2018 Edwin “Taylor” Cox passed away at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City, MT at the age of 79. He was born on March 10, 1939 to Edwin Allen & Elizabeth Botsford Cox in Sheridan, WY.

Taylor was raised on the family ranch in Birney, MT. He attended school in Birney, Shattuck Military Academy in Minnesota, and finished his high school education at Sheridan High School in 1958. He never forgot his upbringing where hard work, manners, and respect for others mattered. His work ethic never failed him from the family ranch on the Hanging Woman to the Tongue River in Miles City. We are all proud to have had a husband and father who set such an example.

He worked the family ranch until 1987. He married Betsylou Dake in 1959 and from their marriage Taylor Owen and Carolyn Patricia were born.

He and Teri (Boardman) Kohones were married on December 22, 1990. They made their home in Miles City, MT where she taught school and he worked on various ranches on the Tongue River. In his retirement, he began refinishing furniture and building his own pieces. He especially loved using native juniper.

Teri and Taylor became foster parents and adopted their daughter Sabrina Lynn on June 5, 2005. She kept them young, busy and on their toes.

He is survived by his wife Teri of 27 years, his son Taylor Owen (Molly), daughters; Carolyn Patricia and Sabrina Lynn, his precious grandchildren; Sophi Colleen, Kasen Taylor Cox, Nicole and Clayton Partridge. His sister Sara (Mark) Taliaferro, and their children, Libby (Dan) Sullivan, Chuck (Julie) Taliaferro, Adele (Kip) Stenson and their children.

Memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Classical School in Miles City or a charity of your choosing.

Special thanks to Holy Rosary Hospice for the great care given Taylor and all of us.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Birney Cemetery in Birney MT.
