Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Justice, 92, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2018 at Regency Care in Springfield, Il.

Jackie was born in Jacksonville, Il. on May 4, 1925 to Lyle B. and Minnie L. Wiant. She met John E. "Jack" Justice, when they rode the same streetcar in Kansas City. They were married on September 5, 1950. Jack passed away in 2016 and was sorely missed by Jackie. She had two sons, Jay (Mary Alice) and John. John also preceded her in death. Jackie's brother, Lyle B. Wiant, Jr. also preceded her in death as well as an infant sister, Dorothy.

To her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren, Jackie was known as "Mamie". Mamie is survived by grandchildren Sarah (Adam Davis) Justice, Patrick (Jenny) Justice, Jenna (Mark) Turner, Anne (John) Bosse, and Jamie (Chad) Reynolds. She also leaves great grandchildren Mason and Maggie Justice Davis, Liam Turner, and Brayden and Corrine Reynolds.

After raising her two sons, Jackie took on a more active life by joining Jack as he traveled in his profession. As he met with his clients in the drapery and interior decorating trade, Jackie began to represent several artists whose art was also of interest to these same clients. After they both retired, they began many years of volunteering at St. Luke's Hospital. Jackie volunteered at the front desk since it gave her a chance to welcome many patients and visitors to the hospital. They moved from their beloved Kansas City in 2014 to Springfield, but Jackie always longed to be back in her adopted State of Kansas.

The family extends special thanks to the staff at Regency Care who made a safe and comfortable home for Jackie her last two years.

Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 3333 Broadway, Kansas City, MO, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow Mass at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Kansas City, KS.

Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of one's choice.
