Donald served in the U.S. Merchant Marine and Coast Guard during WWII. He enjoyed a long career in the home fuel and oil business having worked for many years at Savory Oil and Mirabito Fuel group where he worked until his retirement. He was a 60 year Mason and Past Master of Canawacta Lodge 360 in Susquehanna, PA. He was also a former member of Kalurah Shriners and the Odd Fellows (I.O.O.F) Lodge in Susquehanna. For many years he and his family operated the produce stand in Hickory Grove, PA. He enjoyed eating at Bud's Place in Apalachin and The Little Venice in Binghamton. He was a generous and devoted father. He was a member of the Conklin Presbyterian Church. Don's family expresses their deep appreciation to all those who thought of and visited Don, especially Helen, Carlton, and Kathy.
