Clara Martin Payne, 94, of Houston, Texas, passed away on April 11, 2018.
She was born in Edgewater, Alabama on December 12, 1923 to Hughey and Gladys Smith.
She was married to Lyman Payne for 31 years. Clara worked for 40 years as a Medical Records Technician for the Harris County Hospital District. Clara loved to travel and visited 51 countries during her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, and her husband Lyman. She is survived by her only son Kelly Payne and wife Mollie, grandchildren Bradley Payne and his wife Misti, Cory Payne, Blake Payne and his wife Samantha, and Amanda Minor and her husband Chad, great grandchildren Cayden, Charles, and Emilia as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 17 at 10:00AM at Forest Park East Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 21620 Gulf Freeway Webster, Texas 77598.
