Nathalie D. Johnson died August 27, 1999 at her home in Tarrytown, where she had lived since 1927. Born in Maplewood, NJ to A. Price and Maude Throckmorton Dillont, she earned a BS at Vassar and an MD at Columbia, practiced pediatrics during and after World War II at Tarrytown and at Grasslands. Later trained in psychiatry and served at a mental health clinic, Bronx Lebanon Hospital, for 16 years. A lifelong interest was music, playing violin with the Hudson Valley Symphony and later with the Senior Orchestra in White Plains, and active with the Tarrytown Community Concert Series, serving a term as President. Married 1942 to Dr. Robert Johnson, a longtimeTarrytown physician who survives her, along with two daughters, Diana of Tarrytown and Sandra Edwards of Kuranda, Australia. A third daughter, Cynthia died in 1981. Memorial service is 11 am Saturday September 18, 1999 at Tarrrytown Methodist Church, 27 South Washington Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church.
