Tullahoma - On April 12, 2018 Richard Everett Chilton, Jr age 76 of Tullahoma, entered into rest at his residence. Richard was a veteran of the United States Air Force, during his time of service he was a jet mechanic stationed in Thailand. He was proud of his service in the Vietnam War. He was employed as a crane mechanic for many years at Arnold Engineering and Development Center. He also enjoyed working on cars, going to yard sales and collecting antique farm equipment. He especially loved his dog, Koko. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard Everett and Annie O’dell Hodge Chilton; three brothers John Edwin Chilton, Thomas Walter Chilton and Frankie Lee Chilton; infant daughter Marie.

He is survived by his daughter Wendy Sears; son Richard Lee Chilton; adopted daughter Brandy Nicole Chilton Pack; brother James David Chilton; sister Virginia Mae (Robert) Cornelison; one granddaughter Cadense Nicole Sears; a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from five o’clock in the afternoon until eight o’clock in the evening on Sunday, April 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 16, 2018 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Tullahoma Funeral Home with Pastor Tony King officiating.

Interment will follow at Mt Olivet Cemetery in Estill Springs, TN.
