Kristi Darlene "Rust" Reed, 61, of Homosassa Springs, Florida passed away March 6, 2018 as a result of an automobile accident. She was born July 24, 1956 to the late Ellen "Tellie" and Mason Rust in Leesburg, Virginia. She moved to Florida at the age of 4 and was a lifelong long resident of Homosassa Springs, Florida. She attended school in Crystal River and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Homosassa and was a faithful servant in the Lord's Church. Kristi worked over 20 years for Circle K Convenient Stores. Since that time she has worked for Advanced Retail Merchandising, Big Lots and also helped many others. She loved the beach, her church family, being with her friends and family and adored her grandchildren. She is survived by her son James Cody Reed, three grandchildren Cody, Cayden, and Kylie Reed, two sisters, Shirley Masters of Omaha, Nebraska, Sandra (Morris) Dean of Bronson, Florida, one brother, Perry (Wendy) Rust of Alamogordo, New Mexico and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Tuesday March 13th 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Homosassa 10540 West Yulee Drive Homosassa, Florida 34448. The family will receive friends one hour prior to her service (10:00am to 11:00am). Interment to follow at Stage Stand Cemetery in Homosassa. Arrangements are under the direction of Strickland Funeral Home, Crystal River.
