Services for Melanie Rose DeLoach Wilson will be held Sunday, April 15, 2018 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church in Greenwood, MS.

Mrs. Wilson, age 55, died on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Greenwood Leflore Hospital.

She was born on March 28, 1963 in Winona, MS, and resided in Benoit, then Greenwood for the last 33 years. She was a graduate of Bayou Academy, attended Delta State, and graduated from North East Louisiana University. She worked for the family farm, DeLoach Farms, for over 30 years. Melanie was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she taught children’s Sunday school and prepared Wednesday night supper for many years. She was a life member of the Junior Auxiliary. Melanie also enjoyed attending Ole Miss sporting events and was an avid tennis player. She also loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robbie Wilson of Greenwood, MS; parents, Carl and Bonnie DeLoach of Greenwood, MS; sister, Carla DeLoach (Charley) Holtzlander of Greenwood, MS; brother, Bubba (Kim) DeLoach of Greenwood, MS; three nephews, Hardin DeLoach, Barrett Johnson, and Madison DeLoach; two nieces, Taylor DeLoach (Jarod) Kane and Sarah Johnson, and a great niece, Vivi Claire Kane.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Wilson & Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood, and on Sunday, April 15, 2018 from 1:00 PM until service time at First Baptist Church. Dr. Joe Pate and Rev. Brady Canright will officiate the services.

Pallbearers will be Barrett Johnson, Madison Deloach, Ray Beck, Eddie DeLoach, David Fish, and Dr. Wayne Butts.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Richard Price, Dr. Jeff Harden, and Dr. Charles Nause.

Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Carroll County.
