Mr. Gregory was born Feb. 11, 1920, in Cleveland, Miss., and died Feb. 27, 2008, in Lufkin. Survivors include daughter, Lynda Kocian; sons, James Gregory Sr. and Daniel Gregory; brother, Walter Gregory; sister, Mary Sue Alexander; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.
