Sherri LaJean Hill, 60, of Blackshear died Thursday (April 12, 2018) at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after an extended illness. Ms. Hill was born in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Kelly Cecil and Jessie Jewell Cribb Hill and had lived in Jacksonville most of her life. She graduated from Jean Ribault High School in Jacksonville and was a hairdresser for many years.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Kelly Shea Hill and a brother Steve Carter.

Ms. Hill is survived by two daughters, Mistey Burns (Jonathan) of Yulee, Florida, Mandy Tipton (Cury) of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Chance, Tyler Nicole, Price, Kylie, Kenzie, Ashley; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Dr. Ron Carter (Candy) of Virginia; Jimmy Carter, Scott Hill (fiancé Margie M. Hill) and their grandson Axyl of Blackshear; three close friends, Marilyn Reed of Jacksonville, Florida, Tammie Bagley of Jacksonville, Florida, Betty Carter Fritz of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A graveside service will be held Sunday afternoon (April 15, 2018) at 1:00pm in Oakland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6-8 pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
