Pauline W. McClain, 95, of 4293 Stone Mountain St., Tallapoosa, died Oct. 25, 2012.

She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Tallapoosa to the late George and Lera Hutcheson Williams.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cliff McClain, and daughter, Irene Witcher.

Mrs. McClain retired from the American Thread Company and was a member of Providence Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers, gardening, and yard sales.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Tommie Ann and Claude Day of Niceville, Fla., and Clestelle and Terry Lyle of Tallapoosa; son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Charlotte McClain of Buchanan; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Beatrice and Oscar Witcher of Tallapoosa and brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Jerrie Williams of Bremen.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Tony Day officiating. Music was provided by Jan Layton.

Pallbearers were Marty McClain, Tyler Layton, Richard Corn, Blake Hicks, David Blalock, Eddie Gann and Toby Day.

Randall Crew served as an honorary pallbearer.

Burial followed in the McClain Family Cemetery.

Miller Funeral Home, Tallapoosa.
