Bobby Lynn Matthews, of Rolla, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the age of 47.
He was born in Rolla on January 22, 1971 to Leon Matthews and Patsy (Seddon) Matthews Hausner.
Bob was employed at the Rolla Staples Store as the Electronics Supervisor for the past eighteen years. Among his interests were walking and being an avid Cardinal Baseball fan. He attended the First Assembly of God in Rolla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Rosa Seddon and Ernest and Dorothy Matthews, and an uncle, Buren Matthews.
Bob will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes his mother, Patsy Hausner and husband Stephen, of Rolla; his father, Leon Matthews and wife Kathy, also of Rolla; stepbrothers, Stephen Hausner Jr. and wife Erin, of Houston, TX, Nathan Mercer and family and Bob Mercer and family; stepsister, Kim Walker and family; aunts, Julia McCrite, of Rolla, Mary Teague, of Carbondale, CO, Sharon McCrite, of Rolla; and Pamela Bick, of Cuba, MO; uncles, Pete Seddon, of Cuba, MO, James Seddon, of St. James, MO, and Paul Seddon, also of St. James; a niece, Hadley Hausner, of Houston, TX; numerous cousins; other extended family members and dear friends.
A funeral service for Bob Matthews will be held at 11 am Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Null and Son Funeral Home in Rolla. Interment will follow in the Rolla City Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4-6 pm Sunday, April 15th at Null and Son.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the “Joy of Caring” fund through the PCRMC Healthcare Foundation.
