David “Dave” Grace, 56, died Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his home in Chadwick. He was born on Jan. 20, 1962, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Wayne Grace and Carol (Carnahan) Grace. On Sept. 14, 2010, he was united in marriage to Brandy Grace. Dave was a general contractor and the owner of David Grace Construction, Inc. He enjoyed working on the farm with Brandy, spending time with family and was looking forward to being a pawpaw. Early in the morning, you could find Dave on the porch talking to his dad. Dave never met a stranger and was quick to make friends. If he was picking at you, you were one of the many he called a friend. Dave is survived by his wife of eight years, Brandy; daughter Lauren Earhart and husband Kyle, and soon-to-be granddaughter Sutton Grey; parents Wayne and Carol Grace; parents-in-law Rhonda and Eugene Maggard; sisters-in-law Amanda Thornton and husband Chris, Candice Cover and husband Curtis, Baily Combs and husband Cady and Jeri and husband David Day; brother-in-law J.D. Day and wife Michaela; nieces Tara Wynn and husband R.J., Lindsey Gallagher and husband Sean, and Hope, Jentri, and Treylyn; nephews Ethan, Gage, Luke, Lance and Jesse; great nieces Karis, Giselle, Brielle and Revayah; great nephews Javen, Kynan, Zephaniah and Caelum; and many other caring relatives and friends. Dave was preceded in death by his sister, Darlene Smith; paternal Grandma and Grandpa Grace; and maternal Grandma and Grandpa Carnahan.
