Bruce LeRoy Hansen was born on June 24, 1968 in Madelia, MN to Judy and Harland Hansen. Bruce attended Madelia School and graduated from Madelia High School in 1986. Bruce was baptized and confirmed at Faith Lutheran Church in Madelia. Bruce was very active in the Future Farmers of America and was a State FFA Officer. He competed in the National FFA Convention Agribusiness Competition with the Madelia group, winning the National Award. Bruce attended the University of Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Agriculture Education. After college, he was employed by Case IH for 15 years as a regional sales manager. Following that, he worked for Lube Tech as a district sales representative. Bruce was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 14. At the age of 43, he suffered a severe stroke and was unable to continue his work. Bruce loved spending time with his daughter, Zoey. His hobbies included snowmobiling, water skiing and working in his shop. He took many snowmobiling trips out west, to northern Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
