Bill Wayne Wilson, 67, of New Bloomfield, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, at his home. He was born April 10, 1950, in Jefferson City, Missouri, a son of the late William and Joyce (Byrd) Wilson. He was a 1968 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On June 7, 1969, Bill was united in marriage in Jefferson City to Cheryl Ash, who survives at their home.

Bill was a self employed backhoe operator for over forty years. He enjoyed mule riding, hunting, and taking care of his wild animals, but most of all, Bill loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Along with his wife Cheryl, Bill is also survived by a son: Randall James "Jamie" Wilson (wife Shaunti) of New Bloomfield; a daughter: Crystal Gayle Rackers (husband Ryan) of New Bloomfield; five grandchildren: Tamra Wilson, Jaden Rackers, Jared Rackers, Josey Wilson, Brette Masek; and two great-grandchildren: Kately Wilson and Wesley Wilson.

Friends will be received from 3:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, at the Slater-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Holts Summit. Funeral Services will be private for the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Heart Association.
