Frances Irene McGhee Carr, age 82, Jefferson City, met her Lord and Savior June 2,2021, surrounded by her family and friends. A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a church pianist. Frances loved gospel music and played the piano and sang with several gospel groups.
She was preceded in death and is now reunited with husband, Robert T. Carr; parents, Cecil and Mae McGhee; sister, Edna Watson; brothers, James and Paul McGhee.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Charles) Frazier of New Market; sons, Mike (Terry) Carr of New Market and David(Mary Ann) Carr of Jefferson City; Grandchildren, Amber (Chuck) Smith, Brad Carr, Jessica Frazier, Brittany (David) Grindstaff; Great-grandchildren, Brayden Nelson, Brody Carr, Harley Smith, Lydia Grindstaff, Bryce Kiestler and Akalya Young ; sisters, Louise Boling; sister-in-law, Nell Lowe; brother-in-law, Frankie Moore; former daughter and grand-daughter-in-law, Tanya Stinson and Chasity Kiestler; along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service 7:00 PM Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Calvary Baptist Church—1409 Odell Ave. Jefferson City, TN with Rev. Terry Greene and Rev. George McCoy officiating. Interment 2:00 PM Sunday in McCampbell's Chapel Cemetery with Dr. Kenny Boling officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:30 - 7:00 PM prior to the service at Calvary Baptist Church. Arrangements by Fielden Funeral Home in New Market.
