Sharen Lee Cantrell, 84, of Peoria Heights passed away at 11:30 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Bickford House. She was born December 10, 1933 in Los Angeles, CA the daughter of Herbert and Ann Carver Harris. She married Billy Cantrell on August 21, 1951. Sharen is survived by two daughters, Sheila (Dennis) Pearson of Peoria, and Lynn (Danny) England of Edwards; four grandchildren, Katie (Matthew) Weng, Erin (KJ) Williams, Ryan Pearson, and Andrew England; two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Darrell (Joanne) Harris of Stockton, MO, Mel (Loretta) Harris of Canton, IL, and Charlie (Linda) Harris of St. Louis, MO; and one sister, Deb Winslow of Stockton, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Keith Harris. Sharen worked at Prospect Bank as a Student Loan Processor until her retirement in 1989. After retirement, she cared for her grandchildren and babysat many other children, making an impact in all of their lives. She was an avid reader, keeping a log of all of her books, and was well known at the local library. She never missed a day taking her walk through the neighborhood. She also loved gardening, crafting, and most of all chatting with her family and playing with her great-grandchildren. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday, April 16, 2018 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate.
