Bertha Lee Neal, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 82.
Bertha was born January 25, 1935, in New Boston, Texas, to Sam and Mary Lee Haywood Crutchfield. On July 19, 1969, she was married to Willie James Neal, Sr. in New Boston, Texas. She was a former cook in the restaurant industry and was of the Christian faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Tostie Lee and Tostie Miller; a son, Jerry Wyse; and a daughter, Mary Jean Wyse.She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Willie Neal, Sr. of De Kalb, Texas; three daughters and a son-in-law, Linda Joyce Wyse of De Kalb, Texas, Valarie and Stacy Barber of and Sharion Wyse of De Kalb, Texas; seven sons and five daughters-in-law, Crawford Wyse, Jr. and Linda Wyse of De Kalb, Texas, Joel and Diane Wyse of De Kalb, Texas, Robbie and Gwendolyn Wyse of Hooks, Texas, Billy Paul Wyse of De Kalb, Texas, Willie Neal, Jr. of De Kalb, Texas, Vernon and Nicole Neal of Crowley, Texas and Willie Ray and Trisha Neal of ; 23 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Pastor Kevin Haywood officiating.Interment will follow at Harrell Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
