AGE 89 YEARS
June P. (Lacey) Murphy. Greatly Loved In Weymouth, formerly of Dorchester and Roxbury, April 6, 2018, passed away at home after a courageous and progressive battle with lung disease.
June was a supportive, generous, selfless, and humble woman with a big heart, and if need be, could be a spitfire.
Beloved wife of the late Francis L. Murphy Jr. Loving mother of June of Marshfield, her devoted son Lincoln E. "Sonny" Smith of Dorchester, and Frances Murphy of Weston. Loving and dear sister of Deamie Maggio of Quincy, and the late Flora Vogel, Doris Hattenburg, Catherine Arey, Jackie Siedman, Irene Clarke, Shirley DeChellis, and Russell T. Lacey. Devoted nana of 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Burial: Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
June was a retired medical records clerk for the City of Boston Health and Hospitals Department for over 20 years and in her quest for life, she also enjoyed her work at Stutz Blacker Antiques and as an usher at the Opera House in Boston for 12 years.
