Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Ludmila Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. A celebration of life gathering will be 1 to 5 p.m. at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.
Sheryl was born May 10, 1958, in Sturgis, South Dakota, the daughter of Dan and Marge (Baker) Dutton. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School class of 1976.
Sherry was united in marriage to Don Johnson on September 5, 1981 in St. Ludmila’s Catholic Church.
Sherry worked at Rockwell Collins, West Side Transportation, Airborne Express and Avadyne Health.
She enjoyed camping, being in nature, traveling to National Parks, and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Sherry is survived by her husband Don; her children Katie Johnson and Chris Johnson both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren Payton and Wyatt; her mother Marge Kurth of Mt. Vernon; her siblings Vicky Higgins of Wisconsin, Roger (Theresa) Dutton of Cedar Rapids, Ross Dutton of Mt. Vernon and Randy Kurth of Cedar Rapids; as well as her nieces and nephews.
Sheryl was preceded in death by her father, and her grandparents.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
