Catherine “Mema” Morgan, at the age of 78, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. From her birth in Brooklyn, on January 15, 1940 to her death on Sunday, she nourished the people around her with love, laughter, and faith. Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her daughters and son-in-laws, Patricia & Edward Walsh, Christine & James Belrose, Catherine & Chuck Grubb, and her son and daughter-in-law, James and Shari Morgan. She will be greatly missed by her ten grandchildren, Anthony, Joesph, Kasey, Daniel, Brianna, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Brendan, Colin, by her sister Patricia Curci, and by all of her cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Catherine is predeceased by her loving husband James, her brothers Martin, Jimmy, Mickey, and her daughter-in-law Doreen.
Catherine was known for lighting up every room she entered. Most of all, Catherine loved spending time with family and friends.
The visitation will be held at Chapey & Sons Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, East Islip, NY 11730 on Thursday, February 22nd and Friday, February 23rd from 2:00-4:30pm and 7:00-9:30pm. Prayers will be offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 20 Harrison Avenue, East Islip, NY 11730 on Saturday, February 24th at 9:15am. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Brentwood Road, Bay Shore, NY 11706.
Catherine was known for lighting up every room she entered. Most of all, Catherine loved spending time with family and friends.
