Christina "Tina" Jenkins, 99, of McAlester, died Monday, April 9, at a local nursing center. Tina was born on January 3, 1919 in Kusa, Oklahoma to Frank and Lillie May (Stanley) Barnard. She graduated from Mounds High School and in 1939 married Loren Jenkins. After his retirement from Amoco Pipeline, they began traveling. In 1986 they joined the Holiday Ramblers Club and traveled to Alaska, England, Wales, Scotland, the Netherlands, Germany and Mexico and all 50 states. They returned permanently to McAlester in 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a son, Alan Jenkins. No services are planned at this time. The family would like to thank the staff of Mitchell Manor for their care and attention.
