Teresa Cappio was the wife of Anunzio (Nunziato/Nunzio) Vito and daughter in law of Maria de Suce. (Probably misspelled).
In the 1910 Census, she and Nunzio were residing on Whitney Street, Philadelphia. At that time, she was the mother of Augustus born c. 1882, Maria born c. 1888, Antonio born c. 1891, Dominic, born c. 1893, Angelina born c. 1896, and Jerry born 7 Nov. 1898. This census noted that she had given birth to 10 children and six were living now. At the time of this census she had immigrated in 1881 and had been married approximately 18 years. We will endeavor to find these records.

Unfortunately, the 1910 Census does not show this family and we know from Concetta Masciovecchio and Silvino Donatucci that her sister, Matilda’s mother-in-law, Teresa Cappio Vito passed away from injuries sustained from an unfortunate accident involving a trolley car at 7th and Carpenter, So. Phillie. Recently, we have been able to examine the PA Record of Death through the PA Historical Commission & Ancestry confirming this unfortunate piece of family history.

According to the 1920 Census, showing Nunzio as a widow, Teresa had given birth to at least two more daughters Elizabeth born c. 1905 and Millie born c. 1908 in the time between the 1900 and 1910 Census.
