Rosie R. Martin, 88, of Lancaster went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 9, 2018. Born in Pansey, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Nora Brown Roberson.

Rosie relocated to Lancaster in 1959 from West Palm Beach, FL and worked as a professional hairdresser at Watt & Shand in the 60's. Later she was a case manager for the Department of Public Assistance. She was a long standing member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoyed gospel music, flea market shopping and flower gardening. Volunteering at Ebenezer in the food bank from 2000-2011 was her passion.

She is survived by a son, Larry Martin of Lancaster, daughter, Ruby Martin Jones of Mountville, five grandchildren: Aaron Martin, DeVon Jones, Nicole Jones, Kyle Jones, and Kristin Jenkins, five great-grandchildren and a host of relatives. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry Martin, a brother, Jessie Roberson and his wife, Adell and a sister, Grissie Roberson.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Rosie's Celebration of Life Funeral Service at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 701 N. Lime Street, Lancaster, PA on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 12 Noon with Rev. Roland P. Forbes officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
