Laura Edna Wolven Harris Howard

Laura Edna (Wolven) Harris Howard, 94, Mooresville, passed away January 2, 2018, as a resident at Meadow Lakes. Mrs. Howard was born August 20, 1923, in Indianapolis, to the late Montie James and Elvia Mae (Freels) Wolven.

She worked for twelve years as a bank teller for the former Bank One in Mooresville, retiring in 1993. She was a devout Christian and former member of the Westside Church of Christ. More recently, she was a member of the Mooresville Church of Christ. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and many friends from church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, LeRoy Nelson Harris and her second husband, Clell Howard; daughters, Linda Lee West and Lynette Mae Angleton; brothers, James, Robert, and J. Edward Wolven; sisters, Martha Fisher and Georgia Surber.

Survivors include one son, Les “Bud” (Dena) Harris of Plainfield; step-children, Doug Howard of Mooresville and Linda Ruth Harris of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Friday, January 5, 2018, 5 to 7 p.m., in the chapel at Carlisle – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
