Florence was born February 26, 1926 on a farm near Lesterville, SD to Edward and Helen (Hladky) Schramm. She was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton as an infant. The family lived in the Lesterville and Utica area and then moved to a farm near Menno, SD. They moved to Yankton in 1944 and Florence graduated from Yankton High School in 1945. She married Arnold Lee on June 14, 1947. She worked at Johnson Bakery, Gurney's Seed and Nursery and then Northwestern Bell for about four and a half years. Florence was a farm wife, mother, gardener, member of Sons of Norway and Yankton Garden Club. She also worked at the Human Services Center in Yankton as a certified medication aid for many years until her retirement. Florence and Arnold moved to Kalama, WA in 2002 and Arnold passed away on October 3, 2008. In 2015, Florence moved to her last residence, Lakeview Senior Living in Lincoln City, OR.
