Anna Bell Pendergrass, age 84, passed away on April 9, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00P.M., on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the First Christian Church in Plainview with Pastor Richard Dye officiating.
Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements under the personal care of Lemons Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30-7:30 at the funeral home.
Anna was born on September 2, 1933 to Daniel Arden and Lela Beatrice (Miller) Masterson in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She married Rufus “R.J.” James Pendergrass on April 19, 1953 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. Anna worked side by side with her husband running Hi Plains Fertilizer Company where she did the book keeping and secretarial work. They were blessed with a happy family and were married for 50 years until his passing in February 2003.
Anna was a proud member of the First Christian Church in Plainview. She was a Deaconess and a member of the Christian Women’s Fellowship. She was also a member of the Plainview Home Extension Club. Loving her family and serving her church were the loves of her life.
Anna Bell Pendergrass was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant son, Dennis Brett Pendergrass and her brother, Corky Masterson.
She is survived by her children; sons, Jimmy Dean Pendergrass and wife Katy of Lubbock, Glen Ray Pendergrass and wife Trixie of Plainview, daughter, Jana Dawn Lemons and husband Keith of Claude; her sisters, Jean Cherry and Retta Garza; and seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
